Gigi is qualified to offer test prep for the DELF/DALF exams. Although AFSR isn't an official exam center and you have to go to AF San Francisco to take the exam, you can prepare for it with Gigi at your own pace through private tutoring. Gigi coaches students to understand the exam format, practice the 4 core skills (listen, read, write, speak) and provides strategies on time management and exam strategies to succeed. We charge $75/hour for tutoring at the Alliance. EXCEPTION: On occasion, the instructor and the student live closer to each other than they do to the AFSR Foyer. In such circumstances, and since the instructor does not have to be reimbursed for traveling expenses, the student will not be asked to pay an additional fee for off-site tutoring. In person class. At the A2/B1 level, students continue to strengthen their skills in French through proper pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, focusing on a communicative approach to the language. Past and future tenses are stressed along with other finer points of the language. Dialogue and listening activities are central, along with news podcasts, short films and short stories to expand vocabulary, grammar and comprehension.This class will help students learn to enjoy and interact in the French culture, whether it be for travel, work, or personal pursuits. Our classes depend upon minimum enrollment. (A2/B1 Level) Please contact the School Director for additional questions on correct placement in beginning classes.
