Price range: $60.00 through $85.00

Private lessons, regular or AP (Advanced Placement for high school), are one-on-one and ongoing. Sessions are one month (4 or 5 lessons, a 3-lesson minimum) paid in advance. 2 hours of private tutoring are requested to be paid in advance each month. We charge $75/hour for tutoring at the Alliance. The cost is $85/hour if the teacher travels to the student (beyond 10 miles from the instructor's home) to defray transportation costs for the teacher. EXCEPTION: On occasion, the instructor and the student live closer to each other than they do to the AFSR Foyer. Beginning French teaches students to communicate immediately in Everyday Situations by learning the building blocks of the language. Students practice dialogues to introduce themselves, ask questions, make purchases, and enjoy the culture and challenges of everyday life. Use of current practical expressions, correct pronunciation and grammar, and cultural know-how are stressed. Minimum enrollment is needed for classes to run.
