Private lessons are held for 1 hour, one-on-one and ongoing. Additional time may be added, if desired. Sessions are requested to be paid in advance at the beginning of the month. Lesson rates: Adults $75/hour at the Alliance. ($85/hour if the teacher travels to the student more than 10 miles from the instructor's home) to defray transportation costs for the teacher). Youth $60/hour or $70/hour with teacher travel. EXCEPTION: If the instructor and the student live closer to each other than they do to AFSR, no additional fee is charged for off-site tutoring. Sessions are one month (4 or 5 lessons, a 3-lesson minimum) paid in advance. 2 hours of private tutoring are requested to be paid in advance each month. We charge $75/hour for tutoring at the Alliance. The cost is $85/hour if the teacher travels to the student (beyond 10 miles from the instructor's home) to defray transportation costs for the teacher. EXCEPTION: On occasion, the instructor and the student live closer to each other than they do to the AFSR Foyer. In such circumstances, and since the instructor does not have to be reimbursed for traveling expenses, the student will not be asked to pay an additional fee for off-site tutoring.
