Basic knowledge of common verb tenses are expected, such as the past and future tenses, as well as a good foundation of vocabulary. Mastery of French grammar is ongoing. Private lessons are held for 1 hour, one-on-one and ongoing. Additional time may be added, if desired. Sessions are requested to be paid in advance at the beginning of the month. Lesson rates: Adults $75/hour at the Alliance. ($85/hour if the teacher travels to the student more than 10 miles from the instructor's home) to defray transportation costs for the teacher). Youth $60/hour or $70/hour with teacher travel. EXCEPTION: If the instructor and the student live closer to each other than they do to AFSR, no additional fee is charged for off-site tutoring. Although AFSR isn't an official exam center and you have to go to AF San Francisco to take the exam, you can prepare for it with Gigi at your own pace through private tutoring. Gigi coaches students to understand the exam format, practice the 4 core skills (listen, read, write, speak) and provides strategies on time management and exam strategies to succeed.
