FrenchFlicks (thefrenchflicks.com) is a free information source about French language films available to stream in the US. Their staff looks at every streaming platform to assemble lists of the best French films available on Netflix, TV5MONDE, Amazon, Hulu, The Criterion Channel and the like.

They recently entered into a cooperation with streaming site Tubi (tubitv.com) and have links to 80 recent and classic French films (all with English subtitles) that can be watched on the Tubi platform for free (with ads).

I think this is pretty exciting news, and makes it very easy to find something to watch when you’re looking to see something French (and not have to pay for it). I also highly recommend looking into Kanopy (kanopy.com), also a free streaming service (if you have a public library card) that does not have ads. For connoisseurs and those seeking interviews commentaries and rarer historical releases, take a look at The Criterion Channel (criterionchannel.com). It costs $10.99 a month or $99.99 anually, but it is a unique collection of films you won’t find anywhere else.
