Join us on October 11th between 1:00 and 4:00 PM as we celebrate an exciting new chapter! Our Open House & Assemblée Générale is an opportunity to discover our new location at 85 Brookwood Ave, connect with fellow members, and celebrate all that our community has accomplished over the past year.
We have plenty to celebrate: membership is growing, class enrollment is up, and we continue to offer an excellent range of teachers and classes. We’ll also look back at some of the wonderful events that brought our community together, including Bastille Day, Fête de la Musique, and Beaujolais Nouveau, all made special by the enthusiastic participation of our members.
Afternoon Program
1:00–2:00 pm — Welcome & Social
Come enjoy coffee, pastries, savory bites, and beverages while exploring our new space and catching up with friends.
2:00–3:00 pm — Assemblée Générale & Member Listening Session
We’ll share highlights from the past year, including a slideshow celebrating our activities and accomplishments. Then, we want to hear from you!
What would you like to see in the year ahead? What kinds of events and activities would bring you together? We’ll talk about possibilities, including evening and weekend events, arts and culture, travel, social gatherings, and more.
This is your opportunity to share your ideas, interests, and wishes for the future of our community.
2:30 pm – Vote: We will elect our Board of Directors for the upcoming term. While all are welcome during the Open House, only current AFSR members will be allowed to vote, so make sure to enroll now or renew your membership before October 11th!
3:00–4:00 pm — Social Hour
Stay, mingle, enjoy refreshments, and continue the conversation with fellow members.
