The beauty of Paris will be the subject of our look at Paris from ancient times to today. Immerse yourself with two captivating presentations by our seasoned expert. Discover the city’s allure for the eyes, heart, soul, and the gastronomic adventurer in all of us. Through a vibrant photo journey, you’ll gain a fresh perspective on Paris, enhanced by stunning historical walks and detailed maps that will deepen your understanding of its diverse neighborhoods.

The first session will focus on Paris’s architectural development, starting with the Romans. Steve will present the history of Paris from ancient to modern times by looking at both major buildings and the development of the city itself over time. As a result, Paris became the beautiful city we all love.

The second session will include an interactive conversation about Bistros, Cafés and detailed walks to include Île St. Louis, Île de la Cité, the Marais, the Left Bank, Montparnasse, Montmartre, and Passages.

Presenter Biography
Steve Rabinowitsh has been a Santa Rosa Junior College instructor for over 25 years and has two Masters Degrees: Political Science and Urban and Regional Planning. He has taught “Why We Love Paris” in the Community Education Department many times. Steve began traveling to Paris at the age of thirteen, has traveled to Paris over twenty times, led walking tours in Paris, and lived there with his family.
