Winter I Session: January 10 through February 28, 2024

Step back to the 1870s to explore the fantastic and creative world of Impressionism from Paris to Giverny. Gigi Kuhn will share the extraordinary lives of five French masters and their exceptional artworks (Monet, Caillebotte, Degas, Seurat, Toulouse-Lautrec).

Students will learn how to describe their masterpieces through the five senses, appreciate the cultural, social and political context in France that contributed to one of the most critical art movements, and understand why Claude Monet will always be “the father of Impressionism”.

Day and Time:  Wednesdays, 7:00 – 8:30pm
