AFUSA’s French Cinémathèque series of online film discussions in English continues in July with Olga (2023), directed by Elie Grappe.
15-year-old Olga, a talented Ukrainian gymnast, lives in exile in Switzerland. While she tries to adjust to life in a new country, the 2013 Euromaidan protests break out in Ukraine. As Olga attempts to enter the European Gymnastics Championship, the sweeping changes in her home country begin to shape her life.
Screen the film at home on Kanopy, Amazon, or other popular streaming services, then join Aude Hesbert in a discussion on Monday, July 22 at 4 pm.
RSVP for the Zoom discussion on the AFUSA website.
